PSJA Early College High School Thespians Sign Commitment Letters to Continue their Theatre Studies in College

SAN JUAN, TX– PSJA Early College High School (ECHS) thespians Adrian Badillo and Kiara Cantu signed commitment letters to continue their theatre education at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) and the University of Evansville (UE), respectively on May 31, 2024. Both students have also earned scholarships in recognition of their exceptional talent and dedication to the performing arts. 
 
Adrian Badillo will join the esteemed theatre program at SHSU in Huntsville, Texas. Adrian’s dedication to the arts has been evident through his outstanding performances, leadership in the PSJA ECHS Theatre Program, and consistent pursuit of excellence. During the ceremony, he was awarded a two-thousand-dollar scholarship courtesy of the San Juan Economic Development Corporation. 
 
Kiara Cantu will take her talents to the UE in Evansville, Indiana, known for its prestigious theatre program. Kiara has demonstrated remarkable skill, creativity, and passion as a PSJA ECHS thespian. She will be attending UE on the full-ride TASL Scholarship. The TASL Scholarship is awarded to first-time freshmen who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, service, inclusion, vocation, and changemaking. 
 
 
Both Adrian and Kiara have been integral members of the PSJA ECHS theatre program, contributing to its success. Their achievements reflect the high standards and supportive environment provided by PSJA ECHS, which encourages students to excel both in academic and extracurricular activities.
